Taiwan is known around the world for its technological innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
Surrounded by the ocean and shaped by a vibrant and diverse society, Taiwan has developed a unique approach to innovation – blending technology, community engagement, and human-centered solutions. In recent years, the island has also become an important node for social innovation in Asia.
This growing ecosystem is supported by strong collaboration between national and local governments – including the City of Taipei – alongside startups, social enterprises, and civil society organizations. Public-private-people partnerships have become a distinctive “Taiwan model”, reflecting the island’s collaborative spirit and warm power.
Led by Impact Hub Taipei, one of the region’s leading impact ecosystem builders, the Taiwanese delegation at ChangeNOW 2026 will showcase innovators and initiatives focused on Water & Ocean, highlighting how an island nation is working to protect marine ecosystems and build a more sustainable future.
