Taiwan’s Ocean Policy and Sustainability Commitment
As an island nation, Taiwan places strong emphasis on protecting marine ecosystems and ensuring sustainable ocean governance.
The Ocean Affairs Council coordinates national ocean policy and marine conservation strategies.
Taiwan’s Ocean Policy White Paper outlines the country’s long-term vision for sustainable ocean development, including: marine biodiversity conservation, sustainable fisheries, marine pollution prevention, ocean education and research, international ocean cooperation.
